Advocates for Upstate awards up to four Youth Scholarships each year. Each scholarship carries a $1,500 award and is given to a graduating high school student who has accumulated a minimum of 175 hours of volunteer service at Upstate Medical University's hospitals while meeting academic standards.
Since 2000, Advocates for Upstate has awarded more than $100,000 to area high school students through this program.
