Neurology Residents

Alumni

A strong residency program builds a solid base for a career in Neurology. During the time spent in residency, young physicians develop the art of localization and differential diagnosis. They learn to recognize and treat a plethora of neurological conditions.

They learn how to work in teams, and they develop resiliency that allows them to work effectively under duress. Most importantly, they learn how to learn from patients, from the literature and from colleagues.

Graduates from the Upstate program have continued their academic careers as Assistant Professors at SUNY Upstate Medical University as well as other prominent institutions. Our graduates have pursued careers in academics and private practice both in Central New York and beyond.

The Upstate Neurology Residency Fund is used to enhance the education of our residents by providing remote access to educational conferences and providing noted speakers for Grand Rounds. The fund is also a source of support for resident travel to national and international meetings.

The monies raised for the Upstate Neurology Residency Fund will provide support for Upstate Neurology Residents as they prepare for their future.
