The 加护病房 at Community Campus provides comprehensive medical and surgical critical care to adult patients ranging from adolescents to geriatric adults.

This inpatient medical and surgical unit is located at our Community Campus and is comprised of both private and semi-private rooms. Patients are typically admitted from the emergency department, 手术室, 医生办公室或重症监护室.

The Inpatient 精神病学 Unit (5W) is a 25-bed adult psychiatric unit located at the Community Campus. It was established to admit voluntary and involuntary patients, 18岁及以上, with major psychiatric diagnoses.

The treatment philosophy for the inpatient unit is to provide a comprehensive bio-psychosocial plan of care utilizing psychopharmacology, group and individual psychotherapy, 治疗性活动, 职业治疗, and psychoeducational groups within a therapeutic milieu. Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) is available as a treatment when clinically indicated.

While servicing a large community of patients, we support a population from the central New York region serving 17 counties. Our emergency department is well supported by the inpatient specialty units, i.e., 整形外科, 物理医学 & 康复, 精神病学, Inpatient 医学 (including Telemetry) and our 加护病房, all focusing on the special needs of our patients. Our staff works in conjunction with our downtown campus to appropriately triage patients for assessment and admission as necessary.

Our Six Bed Epilepsy Unit provides 24 hour EEG and video monitoring over 3-5 days for:

• Pre-surgical workup for VNS and neurosurgery
• Identification of non-epileptic seizures
• Evaluation of anti-epileptic medication regimen

The 手术室 at the Community Campus is comprised of 10 theatres performing surgical procedures including general surgery, ENT, 整形外科, 妇科和妇科. Specialty services provided include our Center of 卓越 Bariatric (weight loss) surgeries and robotic surgeries for gynecological, 泌尿生殖器的, orthopedic as well as general surgery procedures. We are also a designated and accredited Hip and knee replacement center.

This is a 10 bed unit specializing in the acute recovery of patients undergoing general or regional anesthesia after surgical procedures. All RN staff maintain ACLS and PALS certification and has successfully achieved Basic Coronary Care (BCC) certification. This department is a critical care environment, providing nursing care in collaboration with the surgical and anesthesia teams. The 麻醉后护理病房 (PACU) also provides nursing support to Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE), 血补丁, 神经阻断, 和复律法.

Located in the Diagnostic Center on our Community Campus, this department streamlines a patient's admission process prior to elective surgery. Here the patient is interviewed by a registered nurse who reviews their health history, 药物, and completes all necessary paperwork, as well as beginning to develop an individualized nursing plan of care. The center will facilitate EKGs, 胸部x光片, 实验室测试, and other diagnostic tests when ordered by the physician, along with pre-operative teaching.

This 18 room pre-surgical unit admits and prepares surgical patients and their families for surgical procedures that require anesthesia, 包括当日手术, (门诊)一天手术, and inpatient admission surgery.

Outpatient one-day surgery patients are recovered in the PACU and discharged home from the 手术中心. We also offer a 4 bed outpatient infusion service (OPIS) in which some chemotherapies and blood products are transfused, and a mini surgery suite that supports outpatient minor surgical procedures.

The 过渡护理单位 (TCU) at University Hospital Community Campus is a 20 bed hospital based short-term sub-acute skilled nursing unit. The unit opened in July 2014 and is located on the completely renovated 5E unit on the 推荐最近最火的赌博软件 Community Campus. The TCU admits only Medicare patients directly from an 上州立大学医院 acute care unit.
