The 肺癌 and Thoracic Oncology Program (TOP) at the 北州癌症中心 offers a team approach to treating thoracic cancers including lung cancer, 食道癌, 间皮瘤, 纵隔肿瘤, thymoma, malignant pleural effusion and cancers metastatic to the chest. We provide the advanced knowledge, skills and leading technology found at the region’s only academic medical university. Out multidisciplinary team of board-certified physicians meet with each patient to create his or her personalized treatment plan

The 癌症中心's Thoracic Oncology Program is the area's first program and still the only one of its kind in Central New York.
The 北州癌症中心 is one of fewer than 100 centers nationwide to be recognized by the Association of American Cancer Institutes. Upstate can offer more lung cancer treatment options including 机器人手术, immunotherapy, molecular targeted therapy and the largest array of Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapies (SBRT) for precise treatment, fewer side effects and a faster recovery. Patients also have access to a variety of lung cancer-specific clinical trials exploring novel treatment approaches.
